Inlays and Onlays

Here at Douglas R. Roth, DDS, we are proud to offer dental inlays and onlays to our patients.

Dental inlays and onlays are considered a conservative method of treating damaged teeth. They are used instead of crowns. Some dentists even use inlays and onlays to treat tooth decay. Instead of filling in the tooth, your dentist may use dental inlays and onlays.

Dental inlays and onlays are made in a dental lab and then fitted to your tooth. They are then bonded to your tooth.

The difference between inlays and onlays is how much of your tooth they cover. If the material is bonded to the center of the tooth, it is considered an inlay. If it covers your whole tooth or more than one point of your tooth, it is considered an onlay.
